The Hull of the New Ferry “Beloslav 2” Has Been Launched!
On 25 September 2026, the hull of the new motor ferry “Beloslav 2” for the Municipality of Beloslav was launched at the “Galera 07” Small Tonnage Shipyard. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Rumen Radev, together with representatives of the local authorities, the Bulgarian Navy and the maritime business.
The ferry is 57 m long and about 15 m wide. It will carry at least 40 motor vehicles and up to 230 passengers across the navigable canal between Varna Lake and Beloslav Lake – a crossing that saves a detour of about 40 km by road.
The project is worth about EUR 12 million and is fully funded by the state budget.
Next come the installation of the superstructure, engines and equipment. The new ferry is expected to enter service in March 2027.
